Model and self-confessed bookworm, Lily Cole has spoken out about the Soho bookstore that she saved from closure.

The Claire de Rouen bookshop, which specialises in photography and fashion, was set to close, as the former owner and namesake died. Lucy Moore, a friend of Lily’s, was asked to take over the store, but was unable to afford to, and this is where Lily stepped in, saying: “I would love to help keep a beautiful little bookshop alive.”

She added: “I part own a bookshop for some strange coincidence of reasons, and it is one of the best things I part own in my life, or own in my life. I do not know, it just feels great. Every time I come, I come upstairs and I look around and see what is new and open and find new treasures and discoveries, I feel so proud to be part of it.”
