If you’ve been watching Lily Allen: Riches to Rags on Channel 4 recently you’ll know all about her vintage shop Lucy In Disguise and business partner, sister Sarah Owen. The pair have now decided to design their own ready-to-wear range to sit alongside their store’s huge collection of vintage designer treats.
Sketches of the proposed range have surfaced online, which will consist of 18 pieces, mainly dresses. Allen told WWD that the range is inspired by fictional character Lucy, “a time-travelling fashionista who’s inviting you to explore her wardrobe… It’s a great opportunity to play with the character.”
The dresses range from 1970s maxis to frilled 1950s prom styles, as well as modern mini dresses in vintage cowboy prints. Prices start at £90 and go up to £350.
The collection is set to hit the shelves in June, not only in Lucy In Disguise, but worldwide in luxury stores such as Le Bon Marché in France, Shopbop.com in the U.S, Lane Crawford in Hong Kong, and Harvey Nichols in London.
