Fashion and lifestyle brand Kate Spade has opened a pop-up shop in terminal 5 of Heathrow Airport.
The pop-up will run for eight months and sell handbags, accessories, jewellery, tech, and stationery. The shop incorporates the green display walls, wood panelled floors, mirrored brass accents and sputnik light features of the original Kate Spade New York store.
This will be the first Kate Spade travel retail shopping destination in the UK, following the brand stores in Regent Street, Covent Garden, Sloane Square, and Westfield London.
Retail and Service Proposition Director of Heathrow Airport, Chris Annetts, said: “We are really excited to welcome Kate Spade New York to Heathrow, and we are delighted they have chosen Terminal 5 as their first UK travel retail home. Their arrival brings our passengers yet another exciting international brand with a fantastic range of accessories they’ll love.”
Kate Spade has recently opened European stores in Paris and Oslo, Norway. The brand is currently in the process of acquisition by luxury group Coach.
