Supermodel Kate Moss has indulged in a little role reversal for this month’s issue of LOVE magazine. The 37-year-old is pictured on the cover taking on a male persona, kissing transsexual model Lea T.
Moss is dressed in a leather biker jacket paired with Chanel gloves, with minimal make-up and slicked back hair, whilst Lea T plays the female role in full make-up and long hair. The pair are posing for the ‘androgyny chic’ issue with the headline “this is hardcore” written in the bottom corner.
The image recalls the start of Kate’s modelling career in the nineties, when her waif-like masculine image helped create a generation of ‘anti-supermodels’.
Lea T, who is currently undergoing hormone replacement therapy in preparation for a full sex change, has stared in various high fashion ad campaigns including Givenchy, as well as being a Vogue and Vanity Fair cover star.
Bi-annual magazine LOVE, published by Conde Nast, is famous for pushing the boundaries, first featuring Beth Ditto naked on it’s cover in February 2009. The issue goes on sale on 7th February and is guaranteed to fly of the shelves!
