Kate Middleton went for the best of British fashion today for the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee river pageant, wearing a simple red dress by Alexander McQueen for a trip down London’s river Thames.
Pairing the pleated dress with her trusted nude L.K. Bennet court shoes, the Duchess of Cambridge finished off her regal look with a Sylvia Fletcher hat from James Lock & Co – the very same lady who designed her maple leaf headpiece worn during her visit to Canada. Kate finished off her ensemble with a silver dolphin brooch, which was a gift from the Royal Navy Submarine Service, where Prince William is Commodore in Chief.
She was also joined by the lady of the day, HM the Queen, who wore a studded white coat dress and custom diamond encrusted hat by Angela Kelly, paired with her signature black Lauder handbag, which is just as iconic as the monarch herself. It’s a Royal style off!
