King of fashion Karl Lagerfeld is set to open his first London store.

Lagerfeld will grace Regent Street with his presence from March 2014, and is setting the bar high, with the store being his largest European one to date, spanning 2,7000 sq ft, selling men’s and women’s ready-to-wear and accessories.

“Opening on Regent Street provides us with an exceptional opportunity to position our brand in this important market,” Pier Paolo Righi, Karl Lagerfeld CEO, told WWD. “London is one of the world’s leading cities when it comes to retail and this location offers a unique brand mix. Our London presence will be a fantastic representation of our brand’s aesthetic, and it showcases our cool, accessible-luxe collections in a cutting-edge environment.”

As we’d expect from the sartorial genius, the interior will leave nothing to be desired. Dressing rooms will contain photo booths in which shoppers can take selfies complimented by filters inspired by Lagerfeld; a digital guest book will allow customers to leave messages for the designer; while iPad minis will display videos and the full collections.

We wonder what Choupette will make of the new London store?
