Cartwright, who previously held the position of chief financial officer and executive vice president of the Burberry Group, takes over from Joseph Wan, who was steered the Harvey Nicks ship for 21 years.
On her new position, Cartwright said: “”I am delighted to be joining Harvey Nichols at such an exciting time in the luxury retail market; a market which demonstrates significant potential and for which I have enormous passion. I am excited by the opportunity to further develop this world-class brand, both in the UK and internationally.”
There’s no animosity felt between her and Wan either, with the latter commenting: “Nothing gives me greater pleasure than handing over to Stacey a stronger Harvey Nichols than the one I joined. I wish Stacey well in her new role, and under her leadership I look forward to seeing Harvey Nichols growing from strength to strength.”
