Sometimes there’s nothing better than a cosy wooly jumper, hat or scarf…we also fear we’re going to be needing them all too soon as the cold weather fast approaches. Lucky then that Wool Week is on the horizon! As part of Wool Week, which runs from the 15th-21st October, Harvey Nichols in London’s Knightsbridge have teamed up with The Campaign for Wool for something very special. In support of the campaign which is run by HRH the Prince of Wales, an innovative installation will see the iconic London department store wrapped in over 100 metres of wool donated by H Dawson Wool. A 3D spectacle with a giant ball of yarn and knitting needles will form the display, and hopes to educate consumers about the benefits of wool and promote wool-predominant products to help support and grow the industry.
The installation will be unveiled in a ‘switching on of the lights’ ceremony on the 15th October by Conde Nast’s Nicholas Coleridge and a very special guest. You’ll also be able to get your hands on the winner of the WOOL SCHOOL initiative Tegan Kersey’s jumper design.
