Hackett London is known for its classic gentlemanly tailoring, but has always kept one hand in the sporting world. As an ongoing backer of British Polo Day and the classic Oxford versus Cambridge boat race, the British label continues to show its support for a variety of different vocations.
Its latest venture takes its dedication to sport one step further, showcasing itself as the proud sponsor of the Williams Martini Racing Formula 1 team through a slick short clip. The video shows the team’s pit crew kitted out in suave Hackett tailoring – suit, shirt, tie, the works – tending to their usual duties minus the overalls, resulting in the “coolest pit stop ever”.
Life will imitate art this weekend, as ahead of the Australian Grand Prix, Hackett are set to replace the Williams Martini Racing pit crew’s usual overalls with attire that’s a little more stylish. Be sure to keep an eye out for their new and improved uniforms if you’re watching.
In addition to its pit crew makeover, Hackett London has also produced a limited edition Williams Martini Racing team replica kit, comprising co-branded team shirts, polo tops and outwear as worn by the crew.
