Gucci is set to reveal an exclusive capsule collection on MrPorter.com next month, designed under the direction of Alessandro Michele.
The collection will comprise of 43 pieces including ready to wear, footwear, and accessories, in a palette of oranges and yellows, azure blue, and Bordeaux red. The inspiration for the collection is “urbanism and self expression” with a base of classic tailoring silhouettes and eccentric sportswear.
The Gucci bee, tiger, skeleton, and cat motifs will be present on many of the pieces, on blazer and denim pockets. Each piece will also feature an exclusive yellow Gucci label.
Prices for pieces in the collection will range from £140 to £2,030 and will include washed denim jeans, tailored jackets and trousers, technical sportswear, leather bracelets, cufflinks, scarves and ties.
Stand-out items include a blueberry-coloured technical jersey zipped jacket with paisley print and embroidered tiger, a wool jacquard bee crewneck sweater, a lilac fil coupé shirt, and iconic horsebit loafers in a GG wallpaper print.
Toby Bateman, managing director of Mr Porter, said: “We are thrilled to partner with Gucci on this exclusive project, at a time when the house is so vibrant and influential in its designs. Alessandro and his team’s talents truly shine through with this unique capsule collection of iconic pieces, all of which we’re sure will be an instant success with our global customer.”
