MR PORTER has created an exclusive collection of footwear in partnership with Grenson and designed by six of Britain hottest up-and-coming talents. Central Saint Martins graduate Craig Green created a riff on the Oxford brogue punctuated with an elasticated strap, Agi & Sam and Katie Eary both reinvented monks, Sibling refreshed the penny loafer in pale suede with colour-bright lining, Christopher Raeburn tapped into his fascination with utility and military wear with a pair of boots, and finally Matthew Millar, an alumnus of London’s Royal College of Art, designed a pair of crocodile Derbies.
Each pair has been made in Northamptonshire, the historic home of shoemaking in the UK. Tim Little, creative director and owner of Grenson, said of the collaboration: We loved this project because it brought together the country’s top young designers with heritage shoemaking. It was great to have six new angles on what we do.”
