Graduate Fashion Week will be partnering with Fashion Forward Dubai, showcasing 13 fashion graduates from the June event representing the UK, Italy, Sri Lanka, Taiwan, China, Japan, and India.

Fashion Forward Dubai takes place 26 – 28 October 2017 and is expected to host 18,000 guests. The regional fashion platform is endorsed by Dubai Design and Fashion Council. The graduate showcase is part of FFWD’s new “Fashion Future” event, designed to highlight some of the most promising talent of the next generation.

The UK graduates taking part in the event include Daniel Rynne from Arts University Bournemouth; Abisola Akanni from De Montfort University; Susan Forrest from Manchester School of Art; Sarah-Louise Francis from Salford University; and Claire Tagg from UCA Rochester; and Halina North, Ruth Williams, and Irene D’Antonio from Edinburgh College of Art

Each graduate presenting at the event will showcase their graduate catwalk collections, workbooks, and portfolios, and attend the event for networking with industry professionals, retail groups, fashion buyers, editors, press, and the international fashion community.

Martyn Roberts, creative director of Graduate Fashion Week said: “We are extremely proud to take Graduate Fashion Week global and to be partnering with Fashion Forward Dubai for their tenth season and first ever Fashion Future showcase. Each year GFW sees exciting and innovative fashion designers take over the catwalk and we look forward to sharing their talent and our award winners internationally. This is a great opportunity for our selected graduates as we continue to support them entering the fashion industry.”
