Oxford Street was brought to a standstill yesterday when fashion fans queued around the block for the opening of US fashion retailer Forever 21. The new store, which brings “a slice of Californian cool” to the famous shopping street, proved popular when 500 people waited from 7am for the doors to open at 10am, so they could begin stocking up on pieces from the cut-price American brand.
While they waited fans were treated to mango ice-cream and sweets courtesy of roller skating girls. Fashion blogger and face of the brand Bip Ling turned up to open the store – treating three lucky shoppers to a personal styling session.
The glossy new store spans over 3 floors, offering on-trend value fashion to women, men and children. According to the brand, their autumn collection includes “Ivy League-style preppy blazers and baseball jackets, Navajo-inspired prints, 70s bohemian knits and crochets, grungy laces and faux leathers plus a vintage collection inspired by 50s and 60s glamour”. That covers just about everything we need to update our wardrobe for next season!
