The Design Museum has told WWD that it is to extend its ‘Hello, my name is Paul Smith’ exhibition to end in mid-June, instead of March as was originally intended. This is due to “significant public demand” and the popularly of the merchandise associated with the exhibition.
The exhibition charts Smith’s journey from owner of a boutique only 12 square ft., to internationally acclaimed designer for men and women.
We can say from experience that the show is incredibly inspiring, and perfectly represents the designer’s curious and visual mind and commercial instinct. Floor-to-ceiling frames of paintings, photographs and prints greet you as you enter, like a 3D Pinterest board of Smith’s own making.
