British footballer and fashion icon David Beckham was honoured for his charity work in L.A. this week, picking up the UNICEF Danny Kaye Humanitarian Leadership Award.

He was recognised for “his tireless work to save and improve the lives of children around the world”, as well as the work carried out through his charity, 7: The David Beckham Unicef Fund, which launched in 2015.

Beckham has been a goodwill ambassador for the organisation since 2005. Friends Sir Elton John and David Furnish presented him with the award, with Beckham saying: “I have four children of my own and I will not stop supporting UNICEF until I know that all children are safe, healthy and have a bright future ahead of them.”
