Clarks is the place our Mum used to take us for practical school shoes, rather than the fashionable ones we actually wanted, but over time their styles have evolved and Clarks originals have now become cool.
Jumping on the recent pop-up store bandwagon they’re planning to launch one of their own for their Originals range, taking over one floor in their existing Picadilly store. The temporary store will stock classic Men and Women’s styles alongside limited edition collaborations for Spring/Summer 2011, including a collaboration with Millerain for Men and Laura Ashley for Women.
Further frivolity is set to take place at the store, with a week of guerilla activities including sets from Strummerville bands from 15th February, as well as live DJ’s.
Clarks are a classic heritage brand here in Britain, but have a lot of unlikely fans worldwide, such as Jamaican reggae artist Vybz Kartel who dedicated a whole song to the brand.
The Clarks Originals pop-up store will be open from 7th-20th February. Get down there quick!
