Classic British footwear label Clarks is celebrating its 190th birthday with a limited-edition Desert Boot design.
Releasing a run of just 1,950 pairs – a quantity chosen to reflect the date the brand’s signature boot first hit the market – each shoe is hand-numbered, made in the UK and comes complete with spare leather laces, a pair of socks by Trickett and specialist suede cleaner.
Made using the same processes and high quality fabrics since its 1950s debut, the new Desert Boot continues to celebrate Clarks’ dedication to British production and its rich history.
Designed by Nathan Clark, the original Desert Boot drew inspiration from shoes found in the bazaars of Cairo and worn by off-duty British army officers. It later became the brand’s best-selling shoe and lives on today as its trademark piece.
