Christian Lacroix launches lingerie and swimwear

French designer Christian Lacroix has created his first lingerie and swimwear range in conjunction with French lingerie brand Lejaby, the first collection will launch in spring 2012. The ranges feature a mixture of classic and retro influences, including Chantilly lace, feminine ruffles and bold stripes.

Lacroix’s lingerie and swimwear lines will launch at premium womenswear show Scoop from August 7-9, targeting high-end retailers such as Harrods and Harvey Nichols. Wholesale prices range from £16-£64, so expect a big mark up!

The fashion house went in to administration in 2009 after announcing no profit was made in the company’s 22-year history, so smaller diffusion lines may be the answer to Lacroix’s success. He is also teaming up with Spanish high street label Desigual this year.
