Dior’s website has just received a luxurious makeover for a/w 2011, bringing all aspects of the brand together in one high-tech, high-end online place.
The site, which has been developed over the last year, boats over 80 videos in the ‘overview’ section alone, as well as endless galleries of coveted Dior pieces.
Shopping is also integrated into the site for US customers who are able to pick up their beauty buys online and check the stock of particular items in nearby stores – a function that would benefit the British Dior devotees we’re sure.
One exciting feature of the site is the ability to view some of Dior’s exquisite creations up close to get a real look at the amazing craftsmanship, which can then be shared with friends through the likes of Facebook and Twitter. What a way to immerse yourself in the luxurious world of Dior. As Sidney Toledano, Dior president and chief executive officer, told WWD, “all that’s missing now is the smell.”
The new Dior website launches on Wednesday.
