Burberry Prorsum Menswear Autumn/Winter 2012/13

Classic country charm was the essence of today’s Burberry Prorsum show: tweed tailored suits, flat caps and suede shooting jackets; but the collection wasn’t without its quirks –  only a gentleman dressed by Christopher Bailey would complete his look with a pair of studded gloves.

Fun patterns and flashes of teal, burnt orange and plum added an approachable feel to an otherwise – in the words of Bailey himself –  “polite and charming”  offering, with clothes that seemed to blur the lines between traditional country and city dressing.

Styling details such as quilted fishing vests layered over suit jackets and the addition of bright hand-held bags and leather pouches ensured an update on the traditional outdoors look – this season the Burberry boy has grown up.
