The British Fashion Council (BFC) has opened applications for it’s once in a lifetime prize – the 2012 BFC/Vogue Designer Fashion Fund, which helps launch unknown designers to global success. The winner will receive £200,000 as well as mentoring from director level fashion big names and a spot in the March 2012 issue of Vogue – any takers?

Seven other shortlisted designers will also feature in Vogue and have access to a panel of industry mentors for 12 months. To be eligible for the fund designers must have an established business in the UK with domestic and international stockists. Applications must be submitted no later than 14th November and the winner will be announced in February 2012.

Previous winners include Erdem in 2010 and Christopher Kane in 2011. Fancy yourself as a fashion design expert? Enter now at www.britishfashioncouncil.com/designerfashionfund.
