Barbour has announced that it is opening a second store for its premium International line at Canary Wharf next month. The first was opened in St James’s Gateway, close to Piccadilly and Jermyn Street in central London.
The Canary Wharf store will carry knitwear, trousers, shoes and accessories from the International collection and will be located in the new extension of Jubilee Place, not far from Canary Wharf tube station.
The international collection is inspired by Barbour’s motorcycling heritage and offers “both technical clothing and fashion pieces inspired by the biker trend.”
Ian Beattie, national sales and marketing director for the brand, said of the news: “…our store is in an excellent location to showcase our Barbour International clothing collections. Motorcycle clothing is just as important to Barbour’s heritage as country clothing and it offers an alternative to those customers who like the biker look and style while still retaining all of the special qualities that make it a Barbour garment.”
