New York export and London’s latest favorite foodie haunt Balthazar is adding Afternoon Tea to its list of tempting offerings. Headed up by head pastry chef Régis Beauregard, who himself built up the afternoon tea business at The Ritz, the menu features all the classics – from cucumber, smoked salmon and egg mayonnaise sandwiches, to freshly-baked scones with Devonshire clotted cream and strawberry jam. And that’s not all. Guests can also expect a signature array of tarts and pastries (including rose water macaroons, banana and spice cake and fresh fruit tartellettes), plenty of the restaurant’s much-adored Postcard Teas as well as herbal infusions and, of course, champagne.
Ideally located in the heart of Covent Garden and a stone’s throw from the Royal Opera House, the venture is guaranteed to be an enormous success. Get yours bookings in now!
Afternoon Tea at Balthazar is available Monday to Friday, 3pm to 5pm.
