The only way is up for Asos.com, who saw great success after selling through 100 percent of their American Apparel stock earlier this year, prompting them to add even more lines from the US fashion brand to their site. The e-tailer will branch out to footwear as part of a new expansion, which will see them up their range of men’s wear, women’s wear and swimwear.
The stock expansion is being hailed as a smart move for American Apparel, as they do not have stores in the likes of Denmark, Russia, New Zealand, Singapore and Hong Kong – all places where Asos.com currently deliver. They also manufacter and wholesale their own products, allowing them to keep all negotiations in house.
CEO and founder of American Apparel, Dov Charney, said: “American Apparel began as a wholesaler and built its reputation as a brand through high-end boutiques and trendy shops. Collaborating with an independent, forward-thinking site like ASOS is a return to our roots in a way. We’re continuing to explore these options and grow our business through them.”
American Apparel and Asos clothes all in one place – we can’t wait!
