Luxury fashion house Emporio Armani has announced it will show its Spring 2018 show in London on 17 September, coinciding with London Fashion Week and the opening of the renovated Emporio Armani Bond Street store.
Designer Giorgio Armani said: “After my ‘One Night Only’ event in 2006, I’m thrilled to be returning to London to unveil the new concept at the Bond Street store, bearing witness to the brand’s strong bond with the British people,”
Emporio Armani spring summer collections are usually shown in Milan, although the September show was held in Paris last year to coincide with the renovation of the label’s boutique on Boulevard Saint-Germain-des-Prés.
The Armani labels are currently undergoing restructuring and by the start of the spring 2018 season, the Armani Collezioni and Armani Jeans brands will have been blended into the Giorgio Armani, Emporio Armani and A|X Armani Exchange lines.
The designer said about the restructuring: “The goal is to serve a different public, showing different lines within one single space. Customers want to enjoy the shopping experience. Their request is to be entertained. We should keep in mind the meaning of the name Emporio – it should be an emporium.”
