Alexander McQueen’s work has seen huge success in the US and now the Alexander McQueen: Savage beauty exhibition at New York’s Metropolitan Museum of Art has been extended until 7th August.
The exhibition opened on 4th May and will now stay open for a week longer than originally planned. The display of McQueen’s creations has proved to be a big hit with fans overseas and was even the theme of the 2011 Costume Institute Gala earlier this month.
On opening day a record number of visitors were recorded, beating a display of Van Gough’s drawings in 2005. Since then over 150,000 fans have flocked to the exhibition.
