Alexa Chung has launched her third fashion collection, entitled Fantastic.
The collection is inspired by ‘90s bands including Blur, Oasis, and Pulp and the iconic clothing items they wore during the height of the Brit Pop scene. There’s a mustard corduroy suit that looks like it could be straight out of Jarvis Cocker’s wardrobe, a Graham Coxon inspired striped long-sleeve tee, and a blue parka similar to that worn by a ‘90s Kate Moss in a Corinne Day shoot.
Other items in the range include “Fantastic” and “Hardcore” slogan tees red flock and pink glitter, full-length dresses in crepe satin and Chantilly lace, lilac, black, and white lace-up chunky boots, pinstripe pencil skirts, a silver lurex blouse and maxi dress, and a denim boiler suit.
Accessories on offer include a set of pin badges with slogans including “cigarettes & alcohol”, “nice one”, and “Disco 2018”, a silver cigarette necklace, and silver moon pin earrings.
Chung said: “It’s important for me to create something both timeless and timely. This collection embodies Brit Pop and translates that creative spirit into silhouettes for the current generation. For want of a better word, it’s Fantastic.”
The collection is available now from alexachung.com and other retailers. Prices start at £72.85 for a basic logo tee up to around £1,000 for some of the outerwear pieces.
