Set only to the sounds of a peaceful garden, the Corrie Nielsen S/S 2013 show transported us to London’s Kew botanical gardens to witness how fauna, architecture and beautiful surroundings have come to influence Corrie’s designs.
Metallic silks are shaped around the body in one rose design dress, folds of leaves are wrapped around on another, large sculpted petals and layers of grey ribbon gave the effect of a deconstructed flower and a dip-dyed wedding dress floated down the catwalk as one of many showpieces. Alongside these showstoppers are blouses, cap sleeve jackets, classic twist-cut trousers with tuxedo- style paneling and wide-legged short trousers.
Designs were intricate and delicate and made for a beautiful etherial collection.
