My London: Raishma Islam – Fashion Designer

INTERVIEWS | | Leave a Comment

Having trained under distinguished designer Elizabeth Emanuel, famed for creating Princess Diana’s iconic wedding dress, Raishma was inspired to launch her eponymous label in 1998. From a couture and bespoke background, Raishma is renowned for creating exceptional and beautiful gowns. With 18 years of expertise and experience, the designer has had the privilege of dressing British Royal Family members, Beatrice & Eugenie and A-list celebrities, including Mel B and Hollywood actress Goldie Hawn.

Still maintaining her core values, the designer has extended the brand to create a diffusion line. Raishma’s passion for creating beautiful designs is the cornerstone for creating an eveningwear line. With inspiration stemming from her eastern background, Raishma takes influences from beautiful fabrics and focuses on intricate hand beadwork and embroidery. The fusion inspired collection consists of luxurious gowns, elegant cocktail dresses and beautiful resort wear.

We caught up with Raishma Islam for the latest in our ‘My London’ series.
