William Tusting is the CEO of a British heritage company which handcrafts premium leather briefcases, leather luggage and handbags. The brand has a plethora of famous fans including The Duchess of Cambridge. Hand made in Britain and sold in shops around the world including Selfridges and Harrods. We caught up with William to talk London, life and style.

Favourite neighbourhood:

Little Venice – I love being by the water and find it very calming.

Favourite place for brunch:

‘Look Mum No Hands’ after a Sunday morning cycle ride. I love eating here and chilling out with friends to discuss the mishaps of the morning.

Best coffee in London:

‘Rapha Cycle Club’ in Soho. The whole experience includes coffee, cycle races being screened on giant TV’s, and the temptation to purchase some great cycle gear – there is nothing greater!

Favourite gallery or museum:

Greenwich Observatory as it widens my wonder at the scale of the universe along with the wish to be at sea.

Favourite building:

St Paul’s Cathedral – it is just a great piece of architecture. And for just a little bit of effort, you get magnificent views of London.

Favourite place to shop:

Jermyn Street as it has an old school feel and offers the best men’s shoes in the world. We held a Tusting pop-up store over Christmas and it was such a great success – it would be fantastic to have a permanent store in that area as the fit is so perfect.

Favourite place to find inspiration:

A walk along Southbank as it can suit every mood and covers everything from modern art to naval history. I find inspiration within the eclectic mix of people passing by.

Best London destination for a date:

This is tricky as there are so many places in London that are great date venues but the champagne bar in St Pancras is a great place to start as it could lead to dinner in Paris or a concert in London.

Favourite park:

The Olympic Park – This area now has a lasting legacy and is also a wonderful place to go for a walk.

Favourite food market:

I love the food in Borough market as it’s so diverse. You can have a taste from across the world in one little area of London – it’s great!

Your sanctuary in the city:

St James Church in Piccadilly. I love when they have lunch time concerts as it is perfect to relax to and let the music take over.

What inspires you?

Cycling around London looking at the the bags people are carrying and the way they are using them. I love when I see someone carrying our bag as it is very interesting to see the diversity of our customers at Tusting.

This season I’m loving:

Fun, bright and vibrant suits as they are still a stylish way to dress when you want to escape from the grey pinstripe.
