We caught up with Kieran for the latest in our ‘My London’ interview series.

Favourite neighbourhood:

I love spending Saturday afternoon catching up with friends at Broadway Market. After, if it’s sunny, we’ll head to London Fields, or grab a bite to eat at E5Bakehouse.

Favourite place for brunch:

Definitely Sunday in Barnsbury. I grew up eating American pancakes, and they do them better than anywhere I’ve found in London.

Best coffee in London:

I try to minimize caffeine intake, so don’t drink coffee, even though I love how it tastes. My favourite herbal tea shop is Piacha on Upper Street in Angel.

Favourite gallery or museum:

I have to be pretty unoriginal and say the Tate Modern. There’s something quieting about walking in and seeing the scale of the main lobby.

Favourite place to shop:

I genuinely do 99% of my shopping on Thread nowadays.

Favourite place to find inspiration:

Every year I go to the Burning Man festival in the Nevada desert for 10 days to disconnect. There isn’t a place on earth richer in creativity, serendipity and fun. I go with friends from London, and in the run up we dig through vintage shops in Camden Market and Notting Hill to find crazy things to wear.

Best London destination for a date:

I think the key is understand what the other person truly enjoys, and to create something special and memorable around that.

Favourite park:

Hampstead Heath. Very few places in London allow you to truly feel like you’ve escaped like it does.

Favourite food market:

I’ve already mentioned Broadway Market, so I’ll give you another: I’ve had a few fun nights out at Street Feast in Dalston. Last time six friends and I pooled our meals and had a tapas-style banquet. Yum.

Your sanctuary in the city:

The Life Centre yoga studio in Angel. I’ve fallen in love with a class they have that is half Vinyasa flow and half meditation.

What inspires you?

People who are exceptionally good at what they do.
