Hasan Mustafa is the founder of Collar Club, a luxury menswear subscription service, taking the hassle out of laundry and shirt tailoring for busy London gents. Before founding Collar Club, Hasan worked in finance. We caught up with him to talk London, life and style for the latest in our ‘My London‘ series.
I love the East End. Some of the streets around Brick Lane and Shoreditch are amazing. As I worked there in the City, I used to walk around and explore it a lot.
Favourite place for brunch:
I am a breakfast person so can’t last till the brunch time.
Best coffee in London:
City offers some of the best coffee there is to find. My favourites would be at two ends of the spectrum: Taylor St Barista and Mr Coffee outside 250 Bishopsgate.
Favourite gallery or museum:
Not my cup of tea.
Too many to name in this wonderful city. If I had to pick one, it has to be the Liberty store particularly its exterior. Every time I pass by it, it exudes this awesomeness which is hard to ignore.
Favourite place to shop:
Regent Street is up their at the top – when it’s sunny.
Favourite place to find inspiration:
Walking around the East End through its narrow streets steeped in history.
Best London destination for a date:
The West End theatre district. I love the buzz around there with tourists and Londoners milling around and just having a good time. A good West End play with a nice dinner is unbeatable.
Hampstead Heath. Many a weekends and afternoons were spent there when the kids were young.
Favourite food market:
Sundays around Brick Lane and Old Truman Brewery. Such variety of global cuisine all packed up in a tiny place. Love it.
Your sanctuary in the city:
What inspires you?
Technology. How it is changing our experiences and interactions with products, services and brands.
This season I’m loving:
Working hard to grow Collar Club 🙂
