Favourite neighbourhood:

There are so many! I have been lucky enough to work in very different areas including Mayfair, Shepherd’s Bush, South Kensington and now Shoreditch. They are all amazing and have their own unique atmosphere and characters.

Favourite place for brunch:

Claridges or The Wolseley. I have never been disappointed with either and their interiors are so glamourous – great for stylish people watching.

Best coffee in London:

Barbour & Parlour, Redchurch Street.

Favourite gallery or museum:

I love the Victoria & Albert Museum for its world class, expertly curated cultural fashion exhibitions. The Sir John Soane’s Museum is also a brilliant museum.

Favourite building:

Southwark Cathedral and Liberty.

Favourite place to shop:

Lyst! I also love Klaus Haapaniemi & Co – this amazingly talented design duo from Finland who have opened a really unique textile/ceramics store on Redchurch Street. I’m obsessed with Borough Kitchen in Borough Market for first-rate advice and the best of the best kitchen products.

Favourite place to find inspiration:

The Lyst offices are in the former White Cube Gallery and I sit next to a large sunny window that looks out onto Hoxton Square – this combined with working with the smartest data scientists and engineers has been very inspiring. I feel so lucky because I learn something new every day! Also my kids- Harland (10) and Ariadne (7) always have a fresh perspective on life that is refreshing and usually accurate!

Best London destination for a date:

I had my first date with my now husband at Rules (the oldest restaurant in London), which was funny because it is known for its meat/game, and I was a vegetarian! I also love Tom’s Kitchen in Somerset House and have always had a great time there. 8 Hoxton in Shoreditch is a great date place too.

Favourite park:

Hampstead Heath. This was where I lived when I first moved from New York to London and it will always will have a special place in my heart.

Favourite food market:

Borough Market or Fortnum & Mason where I can get my favourite almond milk – Alt.Milk.

Your sanctuary in the city:

The top floor of the V&A where there are amazing vitrines of Italian ceramics and gorgeous examples of furniture or the courtyard there. I also love the courtyard of Somerset House in the summer.

What inspires you?

Finding unique beauty in the everyday – either in fashion (Christopher Kane), photography (Tim Walker) or flowers. Hair supremo Sam McKnight instagrams his garden every day and the images are simple and very English.

This season I’m loving:

Self-Portrait dresses, Sophia Webster + Shrimps shoes and my baby-blue Bella Freud 1970 jumper from MatchesFashion.com.
