TOMS launched its first ever UK stand-alone retail space today, with the opening of its new pop up store in Seven Dials, Covent Garden, London.
The retail space is open for just two months and spans across two floors, stocking everything from footwear to eyewear. In true TOMS fashion, for every pair of shoes or sunglasses bought, they’ll help a person in need of shoes, clothing and glasses.
During its short life the pop-up shop will also play host to several events (listed below), which will all take place on the basement level.
- Thursday 3rd May – Debut Contemporary Exhibition, a partnership between Debut Contemporary and TOMS that will see artists exhibiting seven one-of-a-kind TOMS eyewear art frames, before launching a public vote to find the creative talent of tomorrow.
- Saturday 5th May – TOMS Community Fair, a day of live music, food and drink to celebrate the arrival of TOMS to the area, as well as TOMS’ 6th birthday. Running from 11am – 7pm, candy floss and hot dogs will be served all day, with children’s entertainment and face painting taking place between 12 noon – 5pm. Fair-goers will also get the chance to be creative and customise their TOMS in store.
- Monday 28th May – Designer Limited Editions, an exhibition of five TOMS Shoes created by leading UK fashion designers to be available to buy at silent auction.
- Thursday 31st May – London College of Fashion Window Takeover, an installation of store windows designed by LCF students
The TOMS pop up store will be open at 69 Neal Street, Covent Garden, WC2H 9PJ between 3rd May and 28th June, and opening hours will be Monday to Friday 11am-7pm, Saturday 10am – 8pm and Sunday 11am – 6pm.
