Lexus team up with Studio XO for NX launch

Last month we told you about Lexus’ latest initiative called NX Perspectives and now its time for us to share more on it.

Names from the worlds of fashion, design and music were challenged to create pieces of performance art, inspired by the bold design of the new Lexus NX.

The new Lexus NX marks a landmark moment for the Japanese luxury car brand, being their first entry into the mid-sized SUV market.

Its bold exterior appeals to the design conscious, while its sharply styled interior, with a wireless charging tray and touch screen display, works for those living active, urban lifestyles.

An additional F Sport edition boasts exclusive features, such as interior flashes of colour, black outer mirrors, aluminium wheels and sports styled seats. The Lexus NX series is for sale in all European countries.

Those involved in the NX Perspectives project have taken inspiration from the luxurious look and feel of the new Lexus NX, to create a variety of equally innovative art pieces.

London-based technology pioneers Studio XO are leading the way with the NX-Materialised arm of the project. Taking inspiration from the interior craftsmanship and materials used in the Lexus NX, founders Nancy Tilbury and Benjamin Miles have produced an innovative film art piece – viewable HERE.

Studio XO worked with its team of designers, pattern cutters and material experts to create four “digital skins” inspired by the NX’s interior, which have been amplified through CGI to become part a physical part of the film.
