Hairstyles for Spring Summer 2015

CUT ITThe Mod Bob

The ultimate style of the season is the bob in all its guises from the wob to the lob. To keep the style fresh ask for a heavy A-line shoulder-skimming length and team with a heavy fringe for a stylised 1960s mod look.

CUT ITThe Face Framer

A fringe with benefits – a big trend this season, the full fringe is softer with a broken up finish using a point cutting technique. Choose an eye skimming length with a curved edge to accentuate the cheek bones. This curved shape allows you to wear it full with a sleek finish or switched up with a centre-parted face-framing boho style.

COLOUR ITCopper Petal

Red tones are this season softened with more of a coper focus – a great update on the summer palette and a refreshingly vibrant take on strawberry blonde and pastel tones from seasons before. Boost your copper’s vibrancy with Maria Nila’s ‘Colour Refresh’ in Bright Copper. New to the UK, this Swedish brand makes the must-have pigmented colour treatment for coloured and natural hair.

COLOUR ITPecan Blondie

Dirty blondes clean up their act as creamier baby blonde tones take over. Soft subtle balayage techniques and imperfect-perfect highlights see a move towards more hand-painted and free hand colouring techniques that work to really bring out the natural movement in the hair.

STYLE ITThe Catwalk Cornrow

Braids are big news every season but this spring they stand out– it’s time to move away from the signature single side plait and switch up your style with multiple braids and different textures for a fresh approach. Taking inspiration from Spring ‘15 trends where the cornrow made a catwalk comeback, now we’re exploring the multi- braid in a wearable way. Create a matte beach texture with KMS Hair Play Sea Salt Spray and work two or three fishtail braids either side of your face and pin at the back for a fresh, face-framing feel.
