2. Mad World Fancy Dress and Costume Hire
This huge basement store offers a choice of over 35,000 costumes for children and adults and boasts probably London’s largest collection of genuine Venetian masks. They’ve supply costumes for film and TV as well as some other big corporate clients and brands.
Costumes are available to buy or hire and can be ordered online for next day delivery if you’re in a hurry. However if you visit the main store (or one of the other two branches in the West End or Gatwick) the helpful staff will help you choose from a vast selection of accessories to really make your outfit.

5. National Theatre Costume Hire Shop
If you’re after a sophisticated costume that’s good enough to appear on stage, the National Theatre offers a hire service for the costumes stored in their warehouse. Costumes can be browsed chronologically, from the 18th century to beyond.
