Every Sunday, near the Muswell Hill entrance to Alexandra Palace park, you’ll find the freshest local produce to keep your kitchen stocked all week. Widely regarded as North London’s best farmer’s market, it boasts a huge variety of treats from fruit and veg, to smoked meats, cake, jams and relishes and much more.

Get your caffeine fix from experts with almost 120 years’ experience! W Martyn is an old-fashioned tea and coffee shop that roasts its own coffee for a depth of taste that’s almost as rich as the store’s history – it opened in 1897 and still remains in the family.

Whilst we’re still stocking up our larders, it would be wrong of us not to mention Cheeses. As the name suggests, its Muswell Hill’s famous cheese shop, sourcing artisan cheeses from independent dairies around the world. Avenue Mews

If your shopping tastes are a little more kooky, seek out this tucked-away street for vintage shops and art spaces. There’s a great community spirit down here and the shops regularly host street parties and events.
