As anyone who has had an action-packed trip to London will testify, a great holiday is about so much more than topping up your tan or lounging by a pool – it’s about unforgettable experiences, feeding your passions and ticking things off your bucket list.
The world’s biggest online service to find the perfect accommodation they discovered that travellers book trips for a wonderful variety of reasons – from amateur architecture to truffle hunting, and even learning the Haka. From Booking.com’s digital basecamp, we’re all discovering the perfect accommodation for everything museum hopping or re-enacting medieval battles.
Demonstrating just how much travel and the perfect trip can inspire and fire your ambition, Booking.com has collaborated on a video series. First up is the story of Tosao van Coevorden – a former model and Poker player from the Netherlands with a passion for ramen. Having opened a Ramen shop in Amsterdam, he’s got the travel bug and is positively buzzing about an upcoming trip to Tokyo to sample authentic Japanese street food and, most importantly, visit the Michelin-starred Tsuta.
Hit play to see how Tosao and his friend Joao (fellow Ramen lover) finally go to Tokyo to experience first-hand the pinnacle in their mutual passion. They of course head to Tsuta, but also (as with every great holiday) unexpectedly discover the wonders of Tokyo, guided by a local. Let’s just say it has us hovering over the ‘Book Now’ button.
